The Ca ’dal Lauv, or the house of the wolf, has dominated the Secchia valley for several years now. Its history is ancient and it’s Mr. Corrado, the previous owner, who enlightened us about the treasure hidden inside: old barrels used to produce fruit vinegar.

The residents, making a virtue out of necessity, gathered from the forest all that this had to offer: figs, blackberries, plums, black cherries and above all wild cherries.

Mr. Corrado told us his story, the story of his family and of the house; of how just in the family liked a vinegar with a hint of cherry. We have treasured every single word and dedicated to him the production of our finest vinegar, aged 80 years and coming right from the old barrels used by his family.
